- Age:
- 25
- Favorite Shoe:
- Serve V
- Current sponsors:
- Specialized, Truth Soul Armor, Fluid, MissBoarder.com and Osiris Shoes
- Grew Up:
- Ojai, California… it’s a small town inland from Ventura. I go to the grocery store and know everyone, go to my favorite restaurant, and they know what I want!
- Lives Now:
- Ojai, California. It’s awesome here, I have the mountains to play around in, the beach close enough, and the snow isn’t too far in the winter.
- How long have you been riding bmx?
- I started riding bmx when I was 14 and started riding ramps when I was 17. So I guess I’ve been riding for over a decade now.
- Whats your favorite thing about it?
- I am so thankful for being able to travel the world, meet awesome people, and it’s all because of a bicycle. I also enjoy the fact that I have so many options with riding, like being able to ride different terrain like concrete, wood, or dirt.
- Who do you usually ride with?
- I usually session my local park early in the morning by myself because it gives me good time to think and allows me to take whatever line I want.
- Where is your favorite place to ride?
- Woodward West
- What is your favorite trick?
- I don’t really have a favorite trick, but my favorite thing to do in a park is to just flow.
- What do you want to work on getting better at?
- On the bike, style. Off the bike, loving people.
- Worst injury?
- I guess my 8 knee surgeries I’ve had, or flying off a 100 ft. cliff on the mountain bike and blowing out my good knee. Or most recently, smashing my face in, knocking out my front four teeth and fracturing a bone in my face. You can pick which you think is the worst!
- What do you do in your free time?
- Snowboarding, mountain biking, hanging out with friends, eating, hiking, traveling, and basically just living life to its fullest!
- Favorite bands, music?
- Explosions in the sky, Damien Rice, UnderOath, Jose Gonzalez, and Modest Mouse.
- Favorite food? Anything vegetarian I suppose.
- I’m working on my thirteenth year of not eating meat. Proper nutrition is so important, especially when you are an athlete, so I try to pay very close attention to what I am eating.
- Who are your influences?
- I would have to say God and people who shred.
- What are your plans for the future?
- Play as long as I can, start a career in the fire department, and hopefully have prince charming sweep me off my feet!
- Any organizations you are involved with, and describe?
- The Women’s Sports Foundation is something that I try to work with as much as possible. There is a program they have been heading up for a couple years called “GoGirlGo” and the main goal is to get girls active in sports and exercise. The Women’s Sports Foundation has inspired me so much over the years and I don’t think we would be where we are today without it!
- Where would you go if you could travel to anywhere in the world?
- I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Africa a couple years ago and loved every minute of it. I thought that the people were amazing and that the land was beautiful. So if or when I have another chance to get over there, I would jump on that in a heartbeat. I also talk about going to Antarctica all the time. I had this idea in my head since I was about seven that I wanted to step foot on every single continent by the time I died.
- If you could change one thing about the world?
- Help to restore it to the way it was meant to be. I would love to help cut out pollution and help the world to love and support each other too!
