…born and raised, on the playground was where I spent most of my days, chillin’ out maxin’ relaxin’ all cool…
So the final stop of the Journey’s Backyard BBQ was this past weekend in Philly, PA. The East Coast greeted us with some lovely 100+ degree weather, plus the thickest humidity you can imagine on top of that. Despite the sweltering heat, we managed to pack in all THE FUN, including the following activities: volunteering at the Awbury Arboretum, handing out boxes and boxes of Osiris schwag at the King of Prussia Mall, a skate demo featuring team riders Corey Duffel, Shuriken Shannon, Stu Graham, Jimmy Carlin and Annie Sullivan, an FMX air show featuring Osiris riders Ryan Hagy and Derek Garland, a Red Bull skate jam under a freeway, a skate session at the infamous FDR skatepark, a live concert featuring The Roots and Santogold (who is amazing by the way–check her out!), a night of bowling at Philly’s hippest bowling alley called North Bowl, 3 philly cheesesteaks, 1 liberty bell and a partridge in a pear tree. Don’t think we could’ve possibly squeezed all that fun into one weekend? Well you’re right — the partridge thing never happened. But everything else did, check out the pictures below….
Remember, if you live in Philly and want to volunteer and help out the environment like we did, check out the following organizations: Awbury Arboretum & Philadelphia Cares
Here is an update from team rider Annie Sullivan. She cruised down to Mexico this past weekend with homies Jen Smith, Amy Caron and Olivia Rohde and gave us the scoop on her Baja surf trip:
“I went to Mexico this past weekend. Jen had a PLA (professional longboard association) contest at K55 down in Baja…so Amy, Olivia, and I mobbed down there with her. It was super fun. We surfed perfect waves, ate dank tacos, drank Tecate, played guitar on the beach, and watched Jen take home another win. Olivia competed to even out the heats- she made it to the final and got 4th! Super successful trip.”
Jealous? Cause I definitely am…..! Annie will be representin’ Osiris Girls in Philadelphia, PA this weekend at the Journey’s Backyard BBQ so come out and say hi!

Stop #4 of the Journey’s Backyard BBQ — Long Island, NY. The event went down this past Saturday at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island. Despite the unexpected sudden downpour of rain, mother nature was on our side as the rain came and went with a quickness, giving us plenty of time to give away tons of tshirts, backpacks, wallets, hats and of course shoes! The event was a great success… check out the pics.
Saving the best for last, this upcoming Saturday, June 7th, is the final stop of the tour and is none other than the official Osiris stop, which means our team will be out in force, skating and signing autographs…make sure you come out to the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, PA this Saturday from 12-6pm to grab some goodies and watch some skating, FMX and a concert featuring a performance by All Time Low. If that isn’t enough, stop by the Ralph Rizzo skating rink in Philly on Sunday from 12-6 for a skate jam featuring Corey Duffel, Shuriken Shannon, Jimmy Carlin, Stu Graham and Annie Sullivan.
