Go to www.fuel.tv to check out how team rider Annie Sullivan celebrated Earth Day this past tuesday at the University of Colorado, where she is an undergrad in journalism. Annie also rides for Sector 9 skateboards who is leading the skateboarding industry in the green movement by introducing the “bamboo series” of skate decks as well as converting their entire apparel line to organic cotton and water based inks. If you are wondering what can you do to help, simple things such as using using energy saving light bulbs, recycling, conserving water, using your own grocery bags, and eating organic/local foods are easy steps to help to save our planet. Earth Day is a great way to remind us that we should always be thinking “green” and that there are simple ways to take care of our planet. Osiris Girls is doing our small part to help contribute to the green movement with the Becky Bones program, so make sure to check that out!

If you haven’t already heard, Girls Learn To Ride (GLTR), is the original series of female-only action sports clinics and camps and is designed to give females of all ages the basic skills and confidence necessary to participate in skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, motocross, bmx and mountain biking. In addition to the clinics, the GLTR website is an online magazine where you can find out about upcoming events in your area, interviews with top athletes, lifestyle stories & features, product reviews and an online store featuring the top gear for each sport.
